Problem My Sim is missing all interactions inside tombs. I can’t go anywhere or disable any traps or anything else Cause This bug is caused by some routine that fires at midnight Solution Going back home and go traveling again later, gets rid of the bug. Neighborhood tinted in red
Problem My whole neighborhood shows is tinted in red Cause This problem has many causes Corrupt/old Resource.cfg Outdated graphic drivers unsupported hardware Corrupt installation and/or savegames TS3 Mod Manager Solution Only use this method to put cc & mods in your game: How do I install Custom Content/ Mods. Use the Resource.cfg provided there. Uninstall the Installer helper monkey. It’s not valid anymore Update your graphic drivers Reinstall your game If only parts of your neighborhood are red, you are dealing with this problem: Parts of the Neighborhood are shown red

Parts of the Neighborhood are shown red
Problem Some of the lots and landscape items are showing up in red in my neighborhood Cause This is caused by the very first nude patch. The one that changed a file Solution Replace the file shaders_win32.precomp with it’s original version. If you don’t have that anymore, you can try the one on the DVD but if that fails, you will need to reinstall If your whole neighborhood is tinted in red, you are dealing with this problem: Neighborhood tinted in red

Missing Sims and empty UI when arriving in vacation town
Problem This problem exists in two variations My Sim disappears when arriving at the vacation destination. The UI is loaded without the Sim and therefore it’s empty I travel with a group of people but when arriving at the vacation destination one or more of the Sims are missing. Cause This is not really a bug but more the symptom of one. There’s an error in the game that causes the game to not be able to load the interface properly, resulting in the empty UI. Missing or incomplete family tree
Problem When I click on my family tree, there are Sims missing from it. When I click on the family tree symbol, nothing happens Cause Traveling seems to mess-up family trees on a regular basis. Solution None Mods that solve the problem Overwatch has a nightly routine that cleans-up and restores family trees To repair or change family trees manually, use MasterController.

Blue Lots
Problem I suddenly have blue (or black at night) lots instead of the actual buildings build there Solution This issue is caused by faulty custom content. You can read all about it here: Game Help:Sims 3 Blue Lots Issue If your town has the issue and you saved your game, the town cannot be saved. Try restoring a backup game. Since quite a few files got converted into Sims3packs, you will need to check those with Custard before you install them into your game. Hidden clothing
Problem The following clothing is in my game but I can’t find them in CAS or the launcher. Cause This dress by PeggySims contains the extra clothing. They are wrongly categorized and don’t show in CAS cause it’s also categorized as hidden. Solution To get rid of the stuff, just delete the following file from your mods folder: peggyzone-sims3-f-Fclo0008-090812.package. Unfortunately, these like to spread with Sims because of this issue: Downloads that are attached to Sims directly. Crowds in front of the school
Problem In front of the school there’s a huge crowd of Sims that can’t enter the building. This is causing the sims not going to school and dropping grades. Cause In town with lots of children and teen the Sims get in each others way. Since only one sim at the time can enter/leave the building, going to school takes forever. Solutions Build a second (or more) school Bulldoze the existing school and let the game run for a few minutes (so every student is removed from the school) Rebuild the school and a second one somewhere else Save and…

Problem While saving I get the error message: An unexpected error has occurred while saving: Error 12 (or 13 or 15 or 16). Please consult the readme for details. Meaning of the Errors Error 12: World file save failure. Probably Memory related Error 13: Post-save callback failure. Unclear what that means.
