Sim can’t use bed
Problem My Sim won’t sleep in their bed. They stand in front of it and waves as if something was in the way or they’re just teleported away. Cause All Sims that sleep when you install a new patch/add-on are reset from their beds. In some cases this causes the beds to become corrupt. Twallan’s SleepFreedom Mod can corrupt your bed (and Sim) if you don’t uninstall it properly Since Patch 1.22 corrupt sleep outfits and stuck Hover Bed moodlet can cause this. Sims that are in a relationship with another Sims that is currently out of town (Boarding school,…

Can’t get rid of Simport Entries

Cause This happens if something went wrong while simporting. Solutions Method 1 End all of your gigs and make sure all your Sims are back home. Save your game (use save as and save under a new name) and go to the main menu Start a new game in Starlight Shores Choose any household to play Go to your Simport Tour Book. Wrong or No SimPort stamp
Problem After sending my Sim through SimPort, I got the wrong stamp After sending my Sim through SimPort, I got no stamp at all. Cause The Simmer that asks to Simport defines what kind of Stamp you’ll get. Because of this, it can happen that you only get a level 5 stamp for your magician that has level 10 since the Simmer that asked needs a Stamp for Level 5 You always get the same Stamp as your partner. If you already have that one, you won’t get one. Other reasons for not getting a Stamp are problems with the…

Downloaded Sims and Houses can’t be installed
Problem I’ve downloaded a Sim/House/Household from the exchange but I can’t find it in CAS or in the library Cause There are many Sims out there that cannot be installed through the launcher. They will show as installed but next time you open the launcher, they are uninstalled again. I don’t know why some Sims show this behavior but it’s possible that CC has something to do with it. When a Sim/House/Household is installed through the launcher, a file will be saved to the SavedSims folder (or the library folder in your user data directory. For some reason, this will not…

SimPort Progress and Achievements
Where is my SimPort progress saved ? SimPort progress is not saved on the EA servers. The information is only locally saved on your computer in a filed called PassportData.package. This file can be found in [User file directory]\Downloads\[Some Number] If you delete this file you will loose all progress and you can start over unlocking your stuff. Because of this, make sure to regularly save this file. Where is my achievement progress saved ? Completed achievements for which you have received a batch are associated with your account and saved on the EA server. As long as nothing goes…

SimPort, sending Sims and Custom Content
Update 03/09/2012 EA has put out another patch which seems to solve the issue. Patch 1.32 does not leave Sims in your SavedSims or Downloads folder. I consider fixed for the moment but I will change should I read something else. If Sims are no longer installed in our games there’s no reason to believe we get Custom Content. EA reacted very fast to this issue and I’m pleased with them. Problem Since they introduced SimPort, I have new CC in my game. EA promised there wouldn’t be any. What happened ? Cause Sharing via SimPort seems to work like…
