Game freezes when checking into resort
Problem Whenever my Sim wants to check into a resort, the game freezes and all I can do is to kill the game. Cause This problem is caused by a self-employed Sim (gardener, painter, angler, ..) The diving career is affected by this too If you check in with another Sim that also has a self-employed career, the freeze will also happen. Solution Don’t check in into a resort with those Sims or change their career. They can be unemployed. Mods that help with the issue Overwatch V101 and higher has a fix for the issue

Unroutable Rabbitholes
Problem My sim can’t use the bookstore (or other Rabbitholes) anymore. The command falls from the queue Cause This error affects all rabbitholes which doors are placed 3 tiles or less withing the edge of the lot. A change in Patch 1.55 seems to make those rabbitholes unroutable. In EA worlds, the following rabbitholes are affected Bookstore in Monte Vista & Twinbrooks All rabbitholes except the science center in Lunar Lakes. Sim learn skills insanely fast
Problem My Sim only just started learning a new skill and has already maxed it out within a day. Cause The cause of this is a change EA had to make in the skill manager because of the new protest system. Protest can add a Increased Understanding moodlet to your Sim and while you have this, they learn faster. Stuck Bills after returning from University
Problem My Sim has several bills stuck in his inventory and I can’t do anything with them Cause The cause of this are love letters that your Sim got at University but were left in the mailbox upon returning to the home world. They turn into bills if the Sim that wrote them is no longer available (which is likely if the letters were from someone at University). How to prevent First thing you do when you get the message that your Sim will be going home in one hour is go back to your home and empty the mailbox.…

Smartphone photos don’t transfer to homeworld
Problem My Sim took some awesome photos at University but when I returned home, they were all gone Cause Traveling (probably also to and from vacation worlds) erases the photos from the Smart phone Solution Put them from the camera into your inventory prior to traveling home.

Stylist is missing the clothing list
Problem My stylist would love to do his job and style some Sims but he can’t since the list for clothing is missing. Nothing happens when I click on the buttons. Cause This issue only occurs in non-english games. The game changes the UI to have room for the longer texts. Unfortunately the Back button got busted in the process which makes the list not appear anymore. Solution None, really. It does work in the English version. Winterizing the Stones Throw Greenhouse
Update 12-13-2012 The Greenhouse is now fixed. Cause The Glass roof sculptures are not actual roofs, making the game think there’s no roof on the green house Solution SimGuruCopeland has posted a solution on how to winterize your greenhouse and what to take into consideration if you build your own. Wedding Issues
Problem My Sim just got married but I did not get a window to move them in with each other. Because of this my Sim is still living alone. Getting married under the wedding arch resets my Sim. He is married though My Sim got married but still has the same name he had before. Cause EA added code for a wedding anniversary which you only get with Seasons installed so if you don’t have the EP, this fails. Solution Since the Sims are married, you can move in the Sim manually. Use the Move In option on the friendly menu.…

Sims can’t collect or analyze Space Rocks
Problem My sim wanted to collect space rocks but instead of doing so, he resets Cause Seasons brings us Aliens and it seems they still have something to do with the space rocks. Unfortunately EA missed to handle the code correctly if the EP is not present which leads to the jumping. Solution This should be solved once you install seasons.
