Sims can’t use the telescope
Problem My sim wanted to watch the stars but instead of doing so, he resets Cause Seasons brings us Aliens and it seems they still have something to do with the telescope. Unfortunately EA missed to handle the code correctly if the EP is not present which leads to the jumping. Solution This should be solved once you install seasons. Melting metals is not working
Problem My Sim resets/jumps when he tries to send metals for melting via the mail box Cause The new collection journal and the resulting changes in the collecting skill has lead to a few things breaking. You need to collect each kind of metal the usual way (picking of the ground) to initialize the collection skill properly before you can use any other means like the cauldron or magic to acquire the metal. Town overrun by Zombies
Problem I thought we were only supposed to get Zombies on Full Moon Nights, yet I have them during the day and any other night as well Cause It seems this is caused when you save on a full moon. Solution This bug has been fixed in Patch 1.39 There is no solution to save your hood though (unless you resort to mods, see below). You will need to start a new game (or a backup if you have one prior to saving on a full moon). Copy your family to the library and put them in a new game.…

Sim suddenly has a relationship with another Sim
Problem My Sim suddenly has a relationship with another Sim they don’t even know that well. This can be close relatives as well as children. Before Photo Booth After Photo Booth Family Tree after Photo Booth Cause This very bad bug is caused by the photo booth. Whenever you take a picture with another Sim (doesn’t matter which one) they are in a relationship afterwards, messing up family trees and relationships with other Sims. Showtime Objects and Singer have no Sound
Problem The new objects like the Karaoke Machine and the DJ Booth can only be heard from time to time or not at all I can’t hear my Sim sing The songs my Sim sings change in loudness and disappear completely Cause Unknown Solution Make sure you have the newest drivers for your sound and graphic card. Make sure to go to your computer manufacturer to get drivers there. SimPort, sending Sims and Custom Content
Update 03/09/2012 EA has put out another patch which seems to solve the issue. Patch 1.32 does not leave Sims in your SavedSims or Downloads folder. I consider fixed for the moment but I will change should I read something else. If Sims are no longer installed in our games there’s no reason to believe we get Custom Content. EA reacted very fast to this issue and I’m pleased with them. Problem Since they introduced SimPort, I have new CC in my game. EA promised there wouldn’t be any. What happened ? NoXroadsName instead of own Login-Name
Problem Instead of my own Login-Name, I see NoXroadsName. Because of this, non of my achievements are being registered. Cause This seems to be caused by the browser cache Solution Delete the browser history, your browser caches and cookies You can use CCleaner to do this. Fish disappear from the inventory
Problem I was traveling and caught some fish that is only available in foreign towns but when I came back home, the fish (and possible other objects) got missing and can’t be found in the inventory anymore. Cause Because of an error in the code fish cannot be recreated properly after traveling. This also causes to bounce most other objects in the inventory. Solution Use the cheat buydebug to place fish spawner in your home town. This way you can at least finish any open opportunities. Sim freezes while taking pictures
Problem Every time I take a picture with the WA Camera, my Sim freezes. Other Symptoms of this bug The photography skill tab is empty Pictures are stuck in the inventory Cause As trukittn at MTS found is this bug caused by open opportunities and adventures. As soon as you have one open and take a picture, the error will occur. It will then spread to all your save games. As it seems there is no possibility to play those opportunities and adventures that involve taking pictures atm. I’m unsure if that also applies to the architecture career. Solution Reset…
