Update 01/05/2016 Today we get yet another small patch. It’s to make sure CAW is working again. This update has also stripped the download versions of the EPs/SPs of SecuRom. This means that you will need to update to 1.69, should you want to install the EPs through Origin. If you want to stay at 1.67, you need the pre-Sept 2002 disc version and all expansions on disc. Update 15.01.2014 It seems that you can still login the game and install Store content even if you do not update to 1.66. If you do not want to quit Twallan’s mods, there’s no reason to update your game. The only considerable patch corrections concern the two store objects. There’s a mod solution for both that work just fine for 1.63: Sims in Slow Motion and Workaround for the Playpen and Walker reset bug (Blog Post to follow). Everyone that waited with patching should re-try now because of the invalid file error. EA has replaced the incremental patch with the super patch one. You will be downloading the 1.3 GB but it’s the only possibility at this point. Store Content Patch, V 2.2 available
There’s a new Store Content Patch. I have to say, that I can’t get it to install atm. It downloads fine but that’s it. To trigger, open the launcher and choose the download tab. That should download it. Afterwards you have a file ContentPatch.package in the folder ContentPatch in documents. It’s 7976 kb in size. Restart the launcher/game afterwards If you have one that’s smaller afterwards, delete and redownload the patch Removing CC and mods are not necessary in my opinion, but backing up your user data is always a good idea.
