What is Dragon Valley ? Dragon Valley (DV) is a world which you can buy in the Sims 3 Store. The theme is medieval and has baby Dragons. How do I buy Dragon Valley ? Dragon Valley can only be bought as part of a Simpoint bundle on thesims3.com. In August 2013 it will also be released retail on DVD and through Origin. Ingame Store
Introduction The ingame store is a feature which lets you buy Store content from within the game. Since patch 1.29 you also get special deals directly inside the Build and Buy mode as well as in CAS Steps To be able to use the ingame store, you need to turn it on first. Store Content Patch, V 2.2 available
There’s a new Store Content Patch. I have to say, that I can’t get it to install atm. It downloads fine but that’s it. To trigger, open the launcher and choose the download tab. That should download it. Afterwards you have a file ContentPatch.package in the folder ContentPatch in documents. It’s 7976 kb in size. Restart the launcher/game afterwards If you have one that’s smaller afterwards, delete and redownload the patch Removing CC and mods are not necessary in my opinion, but backing up your user data is always a good idea. Also make sure to remove any 3rd party Store…

Afterwards you have a file ContentPatch.package in the folder ContentPatch in documents. It’s 7170 kb in size. Restart the launcher/game afterwards If you have one that’s smaller afterwards, delete and redownload the patch Removing CC and mods are not necessary in my opinion, but backing up your user data is always a good idea. Meaning of the icons in CAS and Launcher
Introduction The launcher as well as CAS/Build/Buy Menu have little icons next to clothing/objects/etc. Those icons give you an indication where the item came from. Launcher The launcher has two different icons EA Store CC This lets you easily distinguish if something is a third party content or came from the Sims3 Store. Houses, worlds and Sims that you download from the Exchange or other sites are displayed as CC. Store Lots Missing ingame
Problem l’ve installed a lot from the Sims 3 Store but I can’t find the lot in-game. Cause Store lots can usually be found in the community lot library. If you’ve bought the lot with the Gold Edition of a world, they are not pre-placed. You need to do that yourself. Those lots sometimes just have numbers instead of names and therefore are called 1, 2, 3, …. If you have reached the launcher cap, the lots sometimes are not installed correctly the first time. No interactions/unplaceble Sauna
Problem I bought Sunlit Tides in the Store but the Sauna that comes with it does not work. I can’t place it and the ones that are already placed have no interaction Cause The cause is yet unclear but it seems another conflict with other Premium Content , namely the Deep Fryer/Ice Cream maker.
